Filene Young Artist callback auditions will be held in the late afternoon of the same day as your preliminary audition, or by appointment on a subsequent audition day (if requested by the applicant).

FELLOWSHIPS
Fellowship interviews and auditions are held according to the same schedule
as that for Filene Young Artists.
Filene Young Artists are emerging professional singers who are at an interim point between academic training and full-time careers. Filene Young Artists sing principal, featured and supporting roles in all WTOC productions. Approximately 15-20 Filene Young Artists are engaged for each summer season.

Fellows are directors, coaches, and administrators who are interested in careers in opera and are transitioning between graduate study and full-time careers. There are opportunities for one administrator, one director, and up to two coaches each season.
Who should apply?
Candidates are typically involved in graduate degree programs or young artist training programs. Candidates who are already working professionally (as assistant directors, opera coaches, etc.) are typically beyond the reach of this program.

Studio Artists are singers of significant potential who are current undergraduates, or who are transitioning between undergraduate and graduate study. Studio Artists will sing small roles and chorus in WTOC main-stage productions, present a scenes program, and study a rigorous performance-based curriculum. Approximately 12-16 Studio Artists are engaged for each summer season.

Interns are college students or recent graduates who are interested in learning more about working in an opera company, but do not necessarily have significant experience. The WTOC offers internships in stage management, technical theatre, costumes, administration, and directing. Internship applications will be available in early 2009 through the Wolf Trap Foundation Education department.
Who should apply?
Undergraduate students, graduate students, recent (up to 2 years) graduates, and career-change candidates are considered. Internships are handled through the Education Programs of the Wolf Trap Foundation.
